About the founder

Hi, I’m Ritika Kapoor – the heart and hands behind Candle It.

Born and brought up in the historic city of Agra, India, I’ve always been surrounded by beauty – from the timeless elegance of the Taj Mahal to the vibrant colors of local art and culture. Growing up, I was fascinated by home décor and fragrances, and how they could instantly transform a space into a story.

While pursuing my B.Tech. in Electrical and Computer Science, the entrepreneurial spark in me refused to stay quiet. In my third year of college, what began as a small creative experiment with wax and wicks quickly grew into a passion project – and that’s how Candle It was born.

I’ve always believed in building something of my own, and my love for business drives me to keep exploring, innovating, and creating. Today, alongside Candle It, I also run The HireXpert, a recruitment consultancy that connects the right talent with the right opportunities.

At Candle It, every piece is more than just a candle – it’s a blend of artistry, fragrance, and emotion. My goal is to help people create warm, aesthetic, and memory-filled spaces, one candle at a time.
